Overview
This is popularly renowned for its Himalayan landscapes and popular hill-stations. Many outdoor activities such as rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, ice-skating, trekking, rafting, and heli-skiing are popular tourist attractions in Himachal Pradesh.
Until the British reign, tourism in Himachal Pradesh was very limited to a few places around the hills and some spiritual destinations. The British developed hill stations during their reign one of them being Shimla which they called The Summer Capital of India.
The Shivalik range and mid- Himalayas are found here. The highest peak is Reo Purgyil with a height of 6,816m in Kinnaur. Furthermore, there some reservoirs and rivers in Himachal Pradesh which are tourist hotspots due to water port activities, sacred importance to Hindus, bird watching and have health centres around them. The four major rivers in the state are Ravi, Chenab, Sutlej and Beas. The Sutlej and Beas river valleys are home to hot springs such as Tattapani, Manikaran and Vashist.

Day 1
Arrival At Shimla – Narkanda - Sarahan
Arrival at Shimla. We start our journey from Shimla after the breakfast and drive to Narkanda.
Depending on the client's choice and fitness level we trek or drive all the way to Hatu Peak which is approximately 6 kms from Narkanda.
Hatu Peak is famous for an ancient temple on the top of the hill that offers you the 360-degree view of different Himalayan ranges.
Post lunch we continue on the road to Sarahan in the later half of the day and take an overnight stay at the hotel at Sarahan.
Day 2
Sarahan Sightseeing - Sangla Valley
We begin the second day by visiting famous Bhimakali Temple at Sarahan to attend the early morning ceremony.
The temple is made of stones and woods interlocked together in an Indo-Tibetan Style. The complex of the temple has three more small temples dedicated to Narsinghji, Raghunathji and the guardian deity Lankra Veer.
Post lunch we continue our journey to Sangla.
After settling down at the home stay we will visit the 800 years old Kamru Fort in the Sangla Valley.
We will end the day camping around the Baspa river and listening to the gushing sound of the river into a dreamland.
Day 3
Sangla – Chitkul – Sangla - Kalpa
Starting the third day with an early morning walk at Chitkul village, the last habituated village of India.
Visit to 500-year-old temple of local Diety Maathi in the Chitkul, Kagyupa temple of Sakyamuni Buddha and a Km walk to Indo-Tibetan Check post will be the highlights of the day.
After lunch we drive back to Sangla and head to Kalpa village. At Kalpa, we take a brisk walk to Roghi Village, in the evening followed by overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4
Kalpa Sightseeing – Nako Village - Tabo
Starting the fourth day at the Kalpa with the spectacular view of Mt. Kinner Kailash from Kalpa at 6050m will leave you mesmerised.
Visit monastery and walk amidst the apple orchards of the village will be an experience in itself. It's a perfect way to experience mountain life with mountain people while observing their daily routine in the village.
After the lunch, we drive to Nako village. Visit Nako village and spend some time there. Later drive to Tabo. Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 5
Tabo Monastery – Dhankar Lake – Back to Tabo
Post Breakfast, you will visit the famous Tabo Monastery.
The magnificent preserver of Buddhists legacy in Spiti Valley, the Tabo monastery, one of the oldest Monastery in the region. It has series of 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a Monk’s Chamber and amazing galleries of stucco statues, wall paintings, dated back in 996 AD.
Learn more about the Buddhist culture and the intrinsic architect with your visit to Dhankar.
A short trek to Dhankar Lake would not only be refreshing and energetic, it would also be the best option to test your fitness level high in the Himalayas at an altitude of 4,270 m.
Later drive to back to Tabo. Overnight Stay at Tabo.
Day 6
Tabo – Kungri Monastery - Kaza
Early start to Kaza, the headquarter of Spiti Valley.
Enroute we will visit Kungri Monastery, one of the biggest one in Spiti Valley.
Lunch in Kaza , evening free to stroll in Kaza Market. Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 7
Visit Key Monastery And Pin Valley.
The Key Monastery is a world famous center for learning and is an obvious choice for those seeking peace and calm.
Declared a national park in 1987, Pin Valley has altitudes ranging from 11,000 to 20,000 feet and is home to at least 12 endangered snow leopards.
In addition, other animals indigenous to the region are the Siberian Ibex, Bharal, Weasel, Red Fox, and Marten. Birds such as the Pika, Griffon, Golden Eagle, Bearded Vulture, Chukor, and Raven can be spotted flocking to the skies of the picturesque valley.
We first visit the Tailing hanging bridge and then the beautiful hamlet of Mud – the last motorable village of the Pin Valley.
Overnight at Kaza.
Day 8
Visit Hikkim, Komic And Langza
Visit some of the highest inhabited regions of the world.
The highest village in Asia – Komic, situated at a height of 4513 m, has a population of 84 people and is cut off from rest of the world for most parts of the year.
Later, we drive to Hikkim, where we have a chance to send postcards from the world’s highest post office!
At Langza, walk back to the prehistoric era when Spiti was submerged by the Tethys Sea, as you explore a land very rich with fossils of Marine animals and plants which were here millions of years ago.
Overnight at Kaza.
Day 9
Start Your Journey From Kaza To Chandra Taal Lake Via Losar & Kunzum La.
Make one last stop to witness another Spitian wonder – Chandra Taal Lake.
The mystical and beautiful Chandra Taal Lake or the Moon Lake is located at a height of 14,000 feet.
The Chandra Bhaga mountain range forms a striking backdrop for the lake, which changes appearance according to the pictures painted in the sky.
Later check in to the Campsite near Chandra Taal Lake, and overnight stay at the tents under the gaze of a million stars and the Milky Way Galaxy.
Day 10
Back to Manali – Departure
Today, we start back on the Manali – Kaza Road.
We pass through some more stunning landscapes and reach Manali by afternoon.
After some leisure, you will be dropped at your departure point with lots of amazing memories to remember for a lifetime.
